On Friday the Statehouse Tour Office will host a ceremony in honor of Indiana’s 193rd “birthday.” Featured at the event will be three fourth grade students whose work received top honors in the Indiana Statehood Day essay competition.
Anderson fourth grader Megan Moran’s essay, “What Indiana Means to Me,” was chosen as the winning essay. On Friday Megan will read her essay during the Statehouse ceremony in front of hundreds of visiting students, including her classmates from Killbuck Elementary School.
