Legislative internships provide an opportunity for students to gain knowledge of the internal processes of state government by working full-time with the Indiana General Assembly. Interns will thoroughly learn the legislative process, gaining an in-depth understanding of how laws are made in an immersive, professional environment. Each intern’s responsibilities will depend on the legislators and staff with whom he or she works.
The application process closed on October 31, 2015 for the 2016 legislative session.
The Indiana Senate was named the 2014 Employer of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Indiana INTERNnet program.
